"Stalks change treasure" technology without "three wastes"

Through four years of research, researchers from Suzhou Zhongneng Technology Co., Ltd. have produced biomass alcohol, xylitol, pulp, organic fertilizer, and fruit tree nutrient solution using corn straw and other agricultural wastes as raw materials. This technology is the leader in the country. Moreover, there is no "three wastes" throughout the entire production process and real "zero emissions" have been achieved.
According to reports, the production of fuel alcohol using food as raw material is not new. However, the technology for producing alcohol using straw and other agricultural waste as raw materials remains largely in the laboratory. Even if there are industrialization projects, most of them are running. Unsuccessful or unsatisfactory.
There are more than 600 million tons of crop stalks that can be used every year in China. The vast majority of them are not fully utilized and even burned on the spot, which wastes resources and causes environmental pollution. The person in charge of Zhongneng Technology Co., Ltd. introduced that with their production technology, 100 kilograms of alcohol can be produced per ton of corn stalk, and 300 kilograms of box pulp and xylitol, organic fertilizer and fruit tree nutrient liquid are produced at the same time. All the discounted prices of straw, water, electricity, enzymes, and acids are included in the cost. With an investment of 5,883 yuan, approximately 7,000 yuan worth of alcohol and pulp can be produced.
It is reported that the company has already set up a model factory with an annual output of 3,000 tons of biomass alcohol in Xuzhou, and is expected to start production next year.
