Under the contract, MAN will supply two "9L48/60CR" engines (total 21600kW), two Renk Gear systems, and two 5m diameter "MAN Alpha CP" propellers (five-bladed) for each vessel.
The related engine is made in Germany, and the MAN company supplies the Chinese company with the "Common-Rail" method for the first time (the supercharged fuel is stored in the exhaust pipe, and then the supercharged machine piston is used to inject again).
The two related vessels are currently under construction in Huanghai Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., which can accommodate approximately 1,500 passengers. They are scheduled to be delivered in the fall of 2016 and then serviced on the China-Korea route.
