After Drupa 2004, Indian printers have been buying the latest and most advanced multi-color sheetfed presses. Mitsubishi opened a precedent and installed 71 units in India. Next is Manroland. The number of printing presses that Indian printers are expected to introduce this year is about 275.



This year, Mitsubishi's 14 presses sold nationwide in India consisted of 71 units including glazing units. For example, Thomson in Delhi, India, Faridabad and Nutech ordered two five-color Mitsubishi presses with glazing units.


There are other Delhi printers, including HBD, Aegean Offset and Replica Press, which order presses. Manroland’s sales in India are also very good. In addition to the installation in Bangalore, two R900 four-color presses were recently sold in Ajanta. KBA’s performance is also good, with Parksons Packaging purchasing a six-color KBA press with UV coating unit and a Densitronic closed-loop color control system. In addition, the Czech Adast and Grafitec sold 30 units.
