December 2010 China's imports of metal processing machine prices fell

According to the latest statistics released by China Customs, in December 2010, China imported 12647 metalworking machine tools, a decrease of 16.71% from the previous period and a year-on-year increase of 62.93%; the import amount was approximately US$1.107 billion, a year-on-year increase of 6.23% and a year-on-year increase of 85.07. %. The average unit price for imports was 87,549 U.S. dollars per unit, a year-on-year increase of 27.54% and a year-on-year increase of 13.59%.

For the whole year of 2010, China's total imports of 114,496 metal processing machine tools, an increase of 80.6% over the 63,388 units in the same period in 2009; cumulative import value of approximately 9.424 billion US dollars, an increase of 60.1% over the 5.88 billion US dollars in the same period in 2009; import average The unit price is 85,565 U.S. dollars per unit, which is still 6.85% lower than the figure of 91,855 U.S. dollars per unit in the same period of 2009.

From the above data can be analyzed that in 2010 China's imports of metal processing machine tools showed a significant growth trend, the cumulative import growth rate of more than 80%, the amount of imports increased by more than 60%. Although the unit price of imports rebounded in December, the average import unit price of metalworking machines fell by 6.85% year-on-year. According to statistics, in the first 11 months of 2010, China imported 15,108 CNC machine tools, an increase of 70% year-on-year; import value was US$3.106 billion, an increase of 31.7% year-on-year; but the average import unit price was US$209,579 per unit, a year-on-year decrease of 28.1. %. It can be seen that the increase in the number of imports of CNC machine tools is more evident than in the case of metal processing machine tools, indicating that the import structure of China's machine tools is still unreasonable.
