In May 2016, the Zhejiang Institute of Metrology held a workshop on the revision of the “Cold Water Meter†Metrological Verification Regulation in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. The revised draft of the “Cold Water Meter†metrology verification protocol was interpreted one by one.
The meeting in-depth analysis and discussion of the difficulty and focus of water metering verification and type evaluation process, and further clarified the important role of water meter legal management to maintain fair trade.
The water meter is one of the four major civilian measuring instruments and one of the nine key national management measuring instruments. The cold water meter is a measuring instrument for the trade settlement measurement of potable cold water (mainly tap water), directly related to the people, enterprises, and tap water. The interests of the operating departments are involved in a wide range of areas and have a great impact. Their accuracy is related to the interests of hundreds of thousands of households. All countries in the world attach great importance to the management of water meters.
In the next step, Zhejiang Institute of Metrology will do its utmost to do a good job of the “Cold Water Meter†state metrology verification procedures and revision task of the type evaluation program to further protect trade fairness, maintain social harmony, and promote the rapid development of the water meter industry.
