Domestic wind fan or foreign "cottage" object

The prevalence of the word “shanzhai” in China can be said to be a self-deprecating form of the Chinese people’s lack of innovation. The word "shanzhai" has a translation method of "made in China". In the domestic technological products have picked up the banner of the “cottage”, the wind turbines jointly developed by Tsinghua University and other units have risen suddenly, perhaps it can make “made in China” the first taste “being a cottage”.

The theoretical concept of wind-type wind turbines comes from Japan. But then, Japan did not develop products that reached commercial levels and instead imported them from China.

The wind turbine imported from China is a wind-type wind turbine jointly developed by Tsinghua University and Jiangsu Zhonghang Power Control Co., Ltd.

Recently, the reporter learned from Tsinghua University that this 5-kilowatt wind turbine has achieved 100% localization, and it has already undergone small-batch production. It will conduct batch trials in wind-solar and other projects in Hainan Province of China, and it has been exported to Europe, America and Japan. .

Zhang Xing, general manager of technology development and professor at the School of Aerospace, Tsinghua University, told an interview with the Scientific Times reporter that this wind-type wind turbine adopts a new concept, not only no noise during power generation, but also the use of wind energy. The efficiency has also been greatly improved, "a set of three fans with the same diameter of the top of the fan."

According to the reporter's understanding, this set of wind turbine products completely independently developed by China not only aroused the interest of ordinary users, but also caused the attention of some scientific research units in developed countries in Europe and America, and issued orders to manufacturers.

The monopolization of key technologies by foreign countries has always been the soft underbelly of China's wind energy industry, and it is also an important hidden danger for the rapid growth of wind power installed capacity in China.

How can China's wind energy technology achieve domestic production breakthrough? Wind-type wind turbines are giving answers.

100% Domestic Performance King At the end of December 2010, the Scientific Times reporter boarded the roof of the Tsinghua University Architecture Design Institute. When approaching the fan with a hub height of only 5 meters and a blade diameter of 2.5 meters, although the blades were flying in the winter winds and the distance was only a few meters, they could not hear the slightest noise. At the same time, unlike ordinary wind turbines, this wind turbine is constantly tracking the wind direction in the wind.

Although wind energy is a green energy source, fans are also a source of noise, and the noise is generally high. In the United States, noise pollution has become the main factor in the public’s opposition to the development of wind power. In some other countries, the opposition caused by noise often stops some wind farms. In Europe, which advocates the development of distributed rooftop wind power, quiet is a necessary condition.

The wind-blown wind turbine is composed of a wind shield, a blade, and a control system. The fundamental difference from an ordinary wind turbine is that the periphery of the wind turbine is surrounded by a wind shield, and it is this wind shield that greatly reduces the noise of the wind turbine and makes Its power generation capacity has greatly increased.

According to Zhang Xing, the hood can break the vortex from the end of the blade, eliminating noise.

In Europe, the research and development of roof fans is active. Various roof fans emerge in endlessly, but there are not many real commercializations. The set of wind-blown wind turbines jointly developed by Tsinghua University and other units is also a kind of roof fan, with a rated power of 5 kW and a diameter of 3.4 m, which can be placed on the roof of a residential building or office building. The power provided by a 5 kilowatt wind turbine can basically meet the needs of an ordinary villa. Of the various roof fans, the condenser fans are by far the most efficient.

The principle of the hood is derived from the Kyushu University in Japan. It is a new concept since 2000. The fan developed based on this principle has its unique advantages.

Zhang Xing, for example, said that removing the bottom of a disposable cup is a poly hood. The role of the wind hood is to speed up the wind speed in the fan blade flow path. Since the power generation rate is proportional to the 3rd power of the wind speed, with the same size of the wind wheel diameter, the wind fan can increase the output power several times. The longer the wind hood, the greater the power generation.

However, in consideration of commercial use, the length of the hood must not be too long. The current 5-kW fan has achieved a three-fold increase in wind energy efficiency, which is an increase of 200%, with a compact structure. This is undoubtedly a qualitative leap in the field of energy, where one percentage point is considered to be more than one percent. However, if an ordinary fan is to achieve the same power, the blade diameter needs to reach 6.4 meters.

In addition, the wind fan can also efficiently use low wind speed wind energy that can not be used by general wind turbines. For example, a 5 kilowatt wind turbine can generate power when the wind speed reaches 2.5 m/s, and a 1 kilowatt wind turbine is at a wind speed of 1 m/s. Can generate electricity.

The researchers also revealed to the reporter why the fans kept shaking their heads. This is caused by the fan's unique automatic tracking system that automatically tracks the direction of the maximum wind speed. In urban areas, there are many tall buildings, complex wind fields, and large turbulence. Because ordinary wind turbines cannot follow the wind direction well, the power generation in this case is not ideal.

At present, the product has developed two types of grid-connected and off-grid models, and has passed domestic mechanical and electrical product test certification, European Union CE certification, and Japanese grid-connected testing.

In addition, the wind-blown wind turbines can also be developed to medium scale, and 200-kilowatt wind-blown wind turbines are under development and are expected to enter the market in the first half of 2011.

“In addition to the principle of the wind hood from outside the Kyushu University in Japan, we have innovated and engineered everything from the mechanical, electrical, and control hardware to the entire system. Now the products are made in China’s patented technology and The links have reached the world's leading level. Therefore, we are very confident in this product." Zhang Xing said.

Going out of the country's "unique secrets"

Good performance, new concept, domestic wind fan is worried about being imitated?

“There is certainly some concern in this area.” Zhang Xing admits, “Some people told me that they were going to imitate. But we have already applied for a patent, and our products will be constantly updated, not so easy to imitate.”

Zhang Xing returned to China in 2006. One of his main goals is to realize the industrialization of wind-generated wind power in China.

According to reports, although the principle of wind-blown wind turbines was first proposed by Japan, it did not lead in product development. Some fatal problems in the design made the technology not reach a high standard. On the other hand, high costs have always been difficult to reduce.

Zhang Xing has spotted its commercial value and made innovations after returning home, making the performance of each part surpass that of ordinary fan products. At the same time, the cost has been greatly reduced, and it is currently lower than other wind turbines with the same domestic power.

“We redesigned the blades in China. The blades are a key part of the wind turbine. According to the Japanese national standard, 8 kg of blades allow a weight difference of 80 grams, and we can do it within 8 grams, which is an order of magnitude higher than the standard. It is for this reason that ordinary wind turbines need to adjust the static and dynamic balances, and we do not need to use them. The results of grid-connected tests conducted in Japan show that our control system is also one order of magnitude higher than the Japanese standard.” Zhang Xing Introduce the road.

At the beginning of China's products launch, Japanese experts did not believe that the performance of Chinese products could surpass Japan. Time finally proved that Chinese products have achieved better performance, lower costs, and more competitive products. The products are continuously exported to Japan.

At home, in addition to Hainan, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Tianjin and other new energy demonstration projects also expressed a strong interest in this.

"Ultimately, we hope to form a whole domestically produced industrial chain and promote the development of the entire industry." Zhang Xing said.

The reporter learned that the wind-blown wind turbine jointly developed and produced by Tsinghua University and Jiangsu Zhonghang Power Control Co., Ltd. currently has no similar competitors in the world and belongs to the “unique cheats”.

In the future, they also plan to develop this system in medium and large scale.

But now, as China's wind power development route is mainly large-scale, this 5-kilowatt fan is mainly exported to Japan, Europe and the United States.

Zhang Xing said: “Wind energy and solar energy have very good complementarity. I have always been optimistic about the prospect of complementary scenery. At present, we are trying to use wind, light and heat together. The quality of electric energy used for heating is not high, and the direct current emitted can be directly For home heating in northern China. Of course, there are many other uses for this small wind turbine."

Statistics show that only 24% of wind energy in China can use large wind turbines, and the remaining 76% of wind energy resources cannot be used by large wind turbines.

Ni Weidou, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, once recommended this type of wind-blown fan on several occasions. He believes that wind power development “should not only look at large, but should be combined with large, medium, and small scales to focus on coordinated development of distributed grids.”

Zhang Xing said that the development of wind energy should be based on local conditions, combining large-scale and distributed. He said: "Now the country has begun to pay attention to small and medium-sized wind power. There are still about 4 million households in our country without electricity, and the cost of wiring has been high in the past, including remote areas and some islands. Distributed small wind turbines can be located in these places. Play a role."
