This new C-Class sedan directly locks its competitors in the FAW Toyota Crown. It is now known that the new crown has a length and width of 5005/1810/1500mm and a wheelbase of 2925mm. Judging from the wheelbase dimensions of both, Beijing Hyundai's new C-Class will also have a better performance in the rear seat space.
In addition, between the pre-sale price of the competitor's new crown of 31.08-38.58 million, the price of Beijing Hyundai C-class sedan is also expected to be in the range of 30-40 million yuan. The price advantage will directly affect the future competitiveness of the new car in this segment.
Many domestic joint venture car companies have begun to plan their C-class cars. Shanghai Volkswagen officially said that it will launch a medium and large-sized car similar to the A6L, positioning a mid-to-high-end C-class sedan between Magotan and Phaeton. It is reported that the new car is based on the MQB platform. The build is expected to be launched in 2016-2017. In addition, Changan Ford is expected to start production of Taurus Taurus at the Hangzhou plant this year, which is a C-class car positioned higher than the current Mondeo.
