Sichuan established the first graphene industry application technology research institute in Southwest China
The reporter learned from the Sichuan Graphene Industry Project Matchmaking Conference on the 29th that the Chengdu Graphene Industry Applied Technology Research Institute has been officially launched. This is also the first public R&D incubation platform for the application and industrialization of graphene new materials in Southwest China. It is understood that graphene is the thinnest, hardest, thermal conductive and most conductive carbon atom nanomaterial known in the world, and is known as a strategic emerging material to subvert the future. Graphene has strong electrical and thermal conductivity properties. It is widely used in flexible electronics, smart wear, touch screens, sensors, thermal conductive materials, functional coatings, etc., and has attracted worldwide attention. Chengdu Graphene Industry Application Technology Research Institute was funded by Enwang New Material Technology Co., Ltd. and landed in Wenjiang District of Chengdu. After the official launch of the institute, it will focus on the development of various applications in the graphene industry. At the docking site, some domestic graphene industry leaders demonstrated nearly one hundred graphene end products, graphene mobile heating lunch boxes, flexible mobile phones, e-books, paints, industrial lighting, electric heating murals, electric heating floors, etc. Products with "magic" features have appeared. At present, the graphene reserves in Sichuan have reached 36.5 million tons. In 2016, the graphene industry in Sichuan has achieved an output value of 150 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 150%. It is estimated that the graphene industry in the province will achieve an output value of over 500 million yuan in 2017, a year-on-year increase of 300%. At present, there are more than 50 units engaged in graphene production and research in Sichuan. In 2016, 536 patent applications were filed, ranking 8th in the country and number one in the west.
