On September 4, the electrodialysis unit originally used in the power plant of the Zhongyuan Oilfield Petrochemical Plant to make demineralized water has been retired for more than three months. Instead, it is a reverse osmosis plant that is running happily. Since the new device was put into operation, after testing and statistics, compared with the same period of last year, the daily production cost can be saved by 8,800 yuan.
The reverse osmosis device is mainly composed of four systems: a pretreatment system, a reverse osmosis system, a dosing system and an auxiliary system. The reverse osmosis device is mainly used for removing salt, colloids and organic matters in fresh water, and provides qualified softened water for a power boiler.
Since the device was put into use, after more than three months of observation, the utilization rate of demineralized water increased from the original 54% to 75%, and the salt rejection rate also increased from 75% to 98%. At the same time, due to the increase in water quality of the reverse osmosis plant, the rate of blowdown of the power boiler was reduced from 12% to 2%, thereby reducing heat loss and thus reducing fuel oil consumption. According to statistics, after the plant was put into operation, the plant had saved 47,802 tons of fresh water, saved 10 tons of fuel oil, and saved 22,920 kilowatt-hours of electricity during the same period of last year as in the same period last year.
