In July, FAW Group continued to maintain its good momentum in the first half of the year, selling a total of 114,000 vehicles, which exceeded the highest monthly sales in March 2006, an increase of 32.2% year-on-year. Among them, the Group’s sedan was driven by new models such as the new Corolla and Magotan. In July, it sold 94,000 vehicles, an increase of 34.5% year-on-year. The sales of medium and heavy trucks were 11,000, an increase of 44.2% year-on-year. From January to July, FAW Group sold 808,000 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 24.3%, higher than the annual target of 19.6%, and completed 57.7% of the annual plan, which was 2.2 percentage points higher than the same period last year (55.8%). The accumulated sales of passenger cars totaled 627,000, a year-on-year increase of 25.5%; the cumulative sales volume of medium and heavy trucks was 101,000, an increase of 51.5% year-on-year.
In July, the company sold 9,386 vehicles, a year-on-year growth of 57.5%. From January to July, the company’s total sales volume reached 81,500 units, a year-on-year increase of 63.1%, higher than the industry growth rate (52.9%), and continued to lead the medium and heavy truck industry.
At the same time, FAW-Volkswagen's terminal sales were strong, with a total of 40022 units sold. At this point, FAW-Volkswagen has maintained sales of more than 40,000 units for 5 consecutive months. As the "star" model of the market, MAGOTAN has lived up to its expectations. On July 11th, it was listed and achieved sales of 4,189 units. From January to July, FAW-Volkswagen sold 261,000 units, an increase of 45.9% year-on-year.
FAW Toyota hit a product mix box, and Corolla's single-month sales exceeded 10,000 units, causing FAW Toyota's sales to rise in a contrarian direction, increasing by 17.5% from the previous quarter.
In July, the automotive industry did not break the “traditional off-season†pattern, and the overall chain rate declined. As of press time, the industry’s specific sales data has not yet been fully disclosed. According to analysts, the industry’s total sales in July was 630,000 units, an increase of 35% year-on-year. In the January-July period, the industry accumulated 5 million units, an increase of 24% year-on-year. Among them, 2.95 million were passenger cars, an increase of 27% year-on-year, becoming the main driving force for the growth of the industry, with 436,000 medium and heavy trucks, a year-on-year increase of 52.9%.
