A new type of device that can promote the high efficiency and energy saving of pigments and automotive catalysts—a new type of belt drying and roasting device technology project passed the expert appraisal organized by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation in early July. The expert group believes that the successful application of this new device is expected to completely change the current state of high energy consumption in the pigment and automotive catalyst industry. According to experts' estimation, according to the current market forecast of China's annual output of 600,000 tons of pigments and 10 million vehicles, comprehensive promotion and application of this new technology device can save 10,000 tons of coal and 80 million kwh of electricity for each year.
The expert group believes that important indicators such as temperature rise, noise, and comprehensive energy consumption of the device have reached or approached the level of similar foreign products, and some indicators, such as wearing parts replacement cycles, have exceeded foreign standards. Compared with the domestic traditional belt dryers and roasters, the product consumption is reduced by 10% to 20%.
Experts pointed out that the main innovation and advancement of this device is that it successfully developed a domestically-adopted molding and cloth technology, solved the problem of excessive dust, poor product uniformity, and long drying time for filter cake-like materials; During the different stages of the drying process, water film dust removal (high dehumidification section) and bag dust removal (low dehumidification section) were adopted to overcome the environmental pollution problems brought about by the traditional drying methods, and the dust in the exhaust gas was recovered. This technology is the first hot-air distribution, flow-through and circulation technology in China, which overcomes the shortcomings of uneven hot-wind distribution, poor heat utilization, and poor product uniformity in conventional belt-belt dryers and roasters. The original full-welded double-wave cross-flow plate heat exchanger converts the heat in the calciner tail gas into the supplementary heat source of the pre-dryer, effectively achieving the waste heat recovery and improving the heat utilization rate.
