China National Heavy Duty Truck Mianyang held a grand ceremony for the nation’s debut. Afterwards, this batch of vehicles reached the factory gate and drove along the road to Chongqing. In the evening, these cars will be delivered to users.

China National Heavy Duty Truck Mianyang Base is one of the landmark projects of cooperation between Mianyang City and Shandong Province for aiding construction and deepening after the May 12 earthquake. To support the reconstruction of Mianyang's post-disaster industries, on May 12, 2009, CNHTC invested 300 million yuan to build a new Mianyang production base of China National Heavy Duty Truck with an annual output of 10,000 special vehicles. The project will be completed and put into production in just 9 months.
On August 24, 2010, China National Heavy Duty Truck and Mianyang City Government signed a heavy truck project agreement. The project will be located in Mianyang High-tech Zone Automobile and Parts Industry Park, with an investment of RMB 2 billion, and will form an annual production capacity of 40,000 vehicles. The production capacity is expected to reach an annual sales income of 6 billion yuan within 2 years. At the end of 2010, the project was completed and put into production.
