China's high-end equipment and precision instrumentation still rely on imports

He said: We must speed up the pace of technological innovation and comprehensively increase the level of industrialization. In the speech, Sang Guowei pointed out that although China has already become the world’s second largest industrialized country, the overall strength and level of China’s equipment manufacturing industry are not too small compared with the world’s advanced level, especially some high-end equipment and precision instruments. Core components such as meters still rely heavily on imports. The high-end equipment manufacturing industry is a technology-intensive industry in the equipment manufacturing industry and is the core and key to the development of high-end manufacturing. At present, we must speed up the pace of technological innovation, seize the opportunity of a new round of global industrial distribution, rely on low-carbon technology and information technology to upgrade the overall level of equipment manufacturing, and promote the process of industrialization.

Sang Guowei said that the goal of China's development of high-end manufacturing industries is to upgrade the industry, ultimately achieving the independence of core technologies, localization of high-end products, and high value-added export products. To develop high-end manufacturing industries, we must aim at the high end of the global production system, vigorously develop high-end equipment manufacturing industries and strategic emerging industries with high added value and technological content, and promote the traditional manufacturing industry from the manufacturing and manufacturing to the high end of the value chain. High-end manufacturing is an important symbol to measure a country’s core competitiveness and an inevitable product and the highest realm of industrialization. At present, we are in a period of rapid transition from mid-industrialization to mid-to-late industrialization. We have ushered in a golden historical opportunity. At the same time, we are also facing enormous resources and environmental pressure. However, overall, opportunities are greater than challenges.
